While
no longer the Grateful Dead, the four primary members of the band
have reformed; Bob Weir, Phil Lesh,
Billy Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart.
Previously they were known as The Other Ones. After the
success at their reunion at Alpine Valley in the summer of 2002,
they decided to change their name to The Dead. On February 14, 2003, at the Warfield
Theater The Dead debuted. The press release about the name
change to The Dead.
The Dead initially
reformed with:
The Dead's first show at the Warfield Theater in S.F. on Feb. 9,
2004. Following, the summer tour had two legs, and will ran from mid
June through August.
