Dark Star Orchestra's MO is to perform a set list from a given night
of Grateful Dead history by performing the songs in the same order as well
as with the characteristics of the respective Grateful Dead era or style. So going into the show you wouldn't know if you'd be
experiencing a psychedelic journey at the Fillmore West from 1969, or a more
laid back, jazzy
evening of utopia from 1974 hearing a passage like "Playing In The Band"
> "Uncle John's Band" > "Morning Dew" >
"Uncle John's Band" > "Playing In The Band," such as from
DP24.
