Live at
Ludlow Garage 1970 review
Live
at Ludlow Garage is from a performance on
April 11, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the same band as on their
classic Live at Fillmore East, though younger and less
developed. Predictably, this CD has a heavy blues influence.
It
includes a great rendition of the song Dimples that also appears on
the Duane Allman Anthology Vol. 2. In addition, the performance of
“Dreams” is fabulous with the rhythm section getting into a
smooth groove that is beyond words. The rendition of Mt. Jam clocks
in at over 44 minutes and includes some great Allman Brothers Band
improvisation. by Barry
